What is Microneedling?

Is a minimally invasive procedure that utilizes a Epidermal Micro-Exfoliation (EME) device (we use Eclipse Micro Pen EVO). The device uses micro needles to lightly pierce the skin (sounds a lot worse then it really is), which triggers a reaction that stimulates the production of collagen. What happens when more collagen is produced? The skin starts to heal, acne scars start to lighten, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles also start to fade away and large pores diminish. Treatments should be 4 to 6 weeks apart and an average of 3 to 6 treatments are generally needed.

Does it hurt?

Like with any procedure there is some discomfort however we use a prescribed/medical grade numbing cream (BLT) to tone down any discomfort that you may feel during the procedure. The numbing cream lasts around 30 to 60 mins. You could experience some minor pain/soreness and redness after the procedure.

What could Microneedling help with?

  • Acne Scarring

  • Dark Spots/Hyperpigmentation and Sun Damage

  • Diminish large pores

  • Scars

  • Stretch Marks

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

Some other things to consider:

  1. There could be some bleeding and in rare cases bruising

  2. It takes time to see results, you will likely need multiple treatments to see a desired effect

  3. As we are piercing the skin there is a risk of infection; though the risk is low; we advise you to stay away from places where bacteria thrives such as pools, lakes, rivers etc.

  4. You may flake/peel as the healing process continues

  5. Some people may experience redness for a few days after the treatment.

  6. You may experience inflammation, itching, burning and possible breakouts

  7. You may experience some swelling around the eye area
